Mr. Daskagiannis is a professional quantity surveyor who evaluates complex claims in international arbitrations. He has worked across sectors on projects in the United Kingdom, mainland Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Asia, South America, and North Africa.
Mr. Daskagiannis has been appointed Quantum Expert five times, including in a matter in the High Court (TCC), and has also assisted quantum experts in evaluating claims of valuation and measurement, delay, disruption, variations, defective works, and project termination across sectors on construction and manufacturing projects in the United Kingdom, mainland Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Asia, South America, and North Africa.
Mr. Daskagiannis has advised on and prepared quantum analyses for public and private sector clients on cost overruns, loss, and expense. He specializes in the valuation of construction claims – including the measurement and valuation of works, the valuation of termination claims, and the quantification of prolongation and disruption costs. His work also includes the assessment of loss of profit claims.
Mr. Daskagiannis previously gained extensive practical experience working for construction, engineering and quantity surveying consultancies in the UK. In a variety of roles, Mr. Daskagiannis has been responsible for contract administration, project controls and change management. Mr. Daskagiannis has worked with many different standard forms of contracts including FIDIC, NEC, JCT, consultancy agreements and various EPC Turnkey contracts.
Mr. Daskagiannis’ background, which includes civil engineering, quantity surveying and forensic analysis, provides a strong foundation of project controls and cost management knowledge. In addition, Mr. Daskagiannis excels at simplifying and explaining complicated issues, particularly through the use of demonstrative evidence and other graphics.
