Sveta Ksenofontova specializes in financial analysis, valuation and damages assessment in complex, high-stakes international disputes and U.S. litigation. Ms. Ksenofontova has more than 20 years of business valuation and damages expertise, including as a research analyst and portfolio manager at some of the largest U.S. pension funds and as an expert witness in litigation and arbitration. She has provided testimony on damages, lost profits, going concern valuations, assessment of commercial loans and analysis of derivatives transactions.
A seasoned expert, Ms. Ksenofontova has provided testimony and been cross-examined in Delaware Court of Chancery and in numerous international arbitration proceedings, including in the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). She has also submitted expert reports under ICSID, PCA, ICC, and Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution rules.
Ms. Ksenofontova has worked on multiple investor-state and commercial arbitration disputes, helping clients navigate a diverse range of issues related to economic feasibility, market conditions, causation, corporate governance, valuation of private and public companies, and quantum of damages. Her industry expertise includes commodities (agricultural, chemicals, metals and mining, paper and packaging), consumer goods, energy, engineering and construction, industrials (multi-industry, heavy machinery, auto and auto suppliers, aerospace and defence, waste), infrastructure (toll roads, airports), media, mining, real estate, and transportation (airlines, rail, and road).
Prior to becoming a testifying expert, Ms. Ksenofontova spent nearly two decades as a portfolio manager, equity analyst, and fixed income and derivatives trader at leading asset managers and global investment banks.
