Lorie Wijntjes serves as Secretariat’s Director of Artificial Intelligence (AI), where she leads the identification and delivery of AI-enabled solutions that enhance how the firm serves clients, while building a strong foundation for responsible, scalable AI adoption. She serves as a partner and strategic advisor to firm leaders, working closely with practice teams to translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, defensible solutions that support litigation, regulatory and advisory engagements.
Ms. Wijntjes is a senior AI and analytics leader driving the design and deployment of responsible AI frameworks and solutions in highly regulated, client-facing environments. She helps organizations apply AI in ways that are practical, defensible, compliant, and aligned to real-world workflows—particularly where accountability, transparency, and scrutiny matter most. Ms. Wijntjes has also served as an expert witness and led complex quantitative analyses in litigation and regulatory matters, bringing statistical rigor and clarity to high-stakes decisions.
Ms. Wijntjes serves as the Director of AI at Secretariat, where she leads the firm’s newly-established AI function. She partners closely with practice leaders to identify and deliver AI-enabled solutions that enhance how we serve our clients, while building a strong foundation for responsible, scalable adoption. Her focus is on translating emerging AI capabilities into solutions that support litigation, regulatory, and advisory work without compromising rigor, trust, or professional judgment.
Previously, Ms. Wijntjes spent many years at a large, multinational consultancy as a Senior Managing Director, advising Fortune 500 companies and legal teams on AI, analytics, and digital transformation.
Before that, Ms. Wijntjes served as Director of AI Business Integration & Governance at GuideWell (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida), strengthening responsible AI frameworks in one of the most highly regulated industries.
Across her career, Ms. Wijntjes has earned a reputation for building trusted partnerships with executives, attorneys, regulators, and technical teams to deliver AI applications and solutions that are innovative, defensible, and fit for purpose.
