Mr. Finnerty is a Certified Public Accountant with more than ten years of relevant experience providing accounting, assurance, and consulting services. His casework covers a range of investigative and dispute assignments including allegations of fraud and white-collar crimes, misuse of assets, violation of controls, financial statement misstatements and post-acquisition disputes.
Mr. Finnerty leverages his assurance and advisory background to provide detailed analyses of financial records, advise on the interpretation and implementation of complex accounting standards, assess internal control and fraud detection procedures, and conduct poignant interviews with key personnel. Mr. Finnerty has collaborated with clients across a range of industries including private equity, software as a service (SaaS), healthcare, medical device and financial services.
Prior to joining Secretariat, Mr. Finnerty was part of the national advisory group for a tax and financial advisory services firm, providing due diligence and post-acquisition services to corporate and private equity investors in the software and technology industries.
