Ms. Chai has been appointed as a quantum expert witness and provided oral testimony at the hearing held at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. She has assisted experts in preparing expert witness reports in arbitration related to quantum and disruption matters on large-scale construction projects such as power plants, airports, nuclear power plants, and refineries. She is analytical in assessing quantum matters on the valuation of variations, measurement, disruption, and prolongation cost claims.
Before working in dispute resolution, Ms. Chai worked for contractor companies and consultant firms on building and infrastructure projects in Malaysia, Qatar, Maldives, and Singapore. She provided quantity surveying services at pre- and post-contract stages comprising preliminary cost estimating, Bills of Quantity preparation, tender calling, tender analysis and evaluations, tender awards, interim valuations, and final account assessment.
