Andrew Shaw is an experienced quantity surveyor with more than 25 years in the industry. For the past 12 years, he has focused on dispute work both in the UK and overseas, assisting in providing advice to parties and in compiling quantum expert reports.
In addition to formal disputes, Mr. Shaw has provided detailed quantum advice on projects including the commercial, residential, health, rail, educational, power and manufacturing sectors and ascertainment of contractor’s loss and expense associated with delay and disruption, the value of variations, the cost of reinstatement following collapse, fire and flood damage, and the cost of rectification of faulty installations.
His early career was spent working initially for major contractors and subsequently as an employer’s QS.
Mr. Shaw has been involved in disputes on various building and civil engineering projects across many of the standard forms of contract.
